Dr. Keith Alexander has been practicing orthodontics in the Palm Springs area for the last 8 years.  Dr. Alexander is originally from Syracuse, NY.  He graduated Dean’s List from Northwestern University as a double major with a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Theater and later graduated from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry where he earned his dental degree.

Dr. Alexander then went on to get an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) certificate at Columbia University in New York.  Next he completed a 2 year post-graduate program in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics at Jacksonville University School of Orthodontics where he obtained a Certificate of Advanced General Studies (CAGS) in Orthodontics.  He then went on to practice orthodontics in Buffalo NY for 2 years and Orlando, FL for 2 years before coming back west to work as an Orthodontist for the last 8 years in Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Indio and El Centro, California.  He has been a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and California Dental Association.

Outside of work, Dr. Alexander enjoys spending time with his wife Bea, daughter Mia, and dog Brooklyn and most importantly his three best friends, PS4, Xbox and Oculus.  Before transitioning to the orthodontic field, he was a professional actor in Los Angeles.  He was in the films “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” with Jim Carrey, “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas” with Johnny Depp and other films with actors Robin Williams, Billy Crystal and Christopher Reeves.  TV appearances include Malcolm in the Middle, Party of Five, Mad TV, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  Occasionally you can see him performing in musical theater locally in Palm Springs at the Palm Canyon Theatre.  Recent roles were Lord Farquaad in the musical Shrek and Captain Von Trapp in Sound of Music.  Another fun fact is that after college he did every child’s dream and ran away to join the circus as he was a Clown with Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Circus for 3 years living on a train and traveling to 52 cities per year trying to bring smiles to children and audiences in the US.  When he is not volunteering in the desert to do balloon art for charities, he will happily make you a balloon animal, juggle balls or eat fire to entertain you and if the office ceilings were just a wee bit taller you could see him checking retainers on 15 ft stilts!!!

Dr. Alexander truly enjoys being an Orthodontist because he enjoys changing lives by improving his patients dental appearance and that lasts a lifetime.
